Juz For You

friends come and friends go.
some stay longer, others are in our lives for a short stay, yet others don’t leave.
the following poem is dedicated to some very sweet and lovely gals i’ve known in my previous company.
some of us have moved on with our jobs while others remain and yet others will move on but this has yet to put a dent in our friendship.
hopefully our friendship will last like that of many girlfriends =)

from strangers to colleagues to friends
we’ve come a long way
from small talks to bantering to confiding
we’ve grown our friendship
from lunch to shopping to holidaying
we’ve upped our comfort level with each other
sitting in front of our laptops, pecking away as if hard at work
chatting in reality, discussing our lives with each other generally
giggling, laughing at the screen in front of us
people think we’ve gone mad while we know it’s otherwise
tea breaks, lunches, dinners and most of all, shopping, shopping, shopping
often found together in each other’s companies

ever game to try new things
with a big sunshine smile
she is one sweet thoughtful gal
beware though the times when she's cheeky
brilliantly subtly teasing you
while looking on with her wide innocent daze

thinking of her will make you smile
for the ways to teasing her are too many to count
her bouncy hair sparkles and her eyes light up
as she begins to laugh
tease her a little and she'll begin to grouch
always in good fun, she'll return ur suans

shy and quiet, smart and brilliant
she's always the genius who solves puzzles
never cranky as her nick goes (crabby crabby crabby)
she's always there with a gentle smile
often blushing like a rose with her quiet laugh
she's one sweet girl u'll have to love

there’s a child in everyone of us
juz as there’s a small little teensy weensy imp
in one, the imp has grown bigger and bolder
yet, as all imps go, this one’s still cute and lovely
you might wanna kill her for some obscure reason sometimes
but her big eyes and childlike actions still your hands and melt your heart

blur, forgetful, absent-minded
she’s always the easiest to bully, the easiest to tease
her angelic eyes with that dazed, perplexed look on her face
is a priceless combination
innocent, ever thoughtful and always caring though she’s the baby
she’s a gem in the ocean beds

there’s always a sweet, fluffy and girly one in every group
her innocent eyes remind you of puss-in-boots in shrek
while her sweetness is like the sugar in bananas
tease her a little and she will blush like the pink she loves
dreamy, always happy and bubbly
she’s the easiest to please

quiet, guileless and trusting
it’s always tough to resist teasing or cracking jokes on her
elegance with a touch of simplicity
she’s like a swan always gliding around gently
however, though she looks meek and shy and tends to keep a low profile
beware of her when she decides to be the playful lory she can be

mysterious with a hint of gypsy blood
she’s one of the hardest to demystify
like a musical composition,
she’s charmingly mellow, yet lilting when the chord strikes
one thing’s for sure, fun-loving is her middle name when she’s in the mood
she can crack jokes and cause you to be in stitches

tons of names and descriptions will fit her like a glove
perhaps its her nature, or perhaps its her style.. actually, it’s just her
all cool, wacky, devilish ideas arise from the same treasure grove
juz don’t catch her when she’s in a fiery temper
always there for you with rock solid faith in you
she’s the best friend one can have
